We've made it! It's day 2 of the iteniery so lets back up a couple days...
We got on the plane and i was seated in 34E, this is the last row and middle seat, possibly the worst seat ever! Well i was next to Claire and that was pretty fun. I sleep possibly 1/2 the flight which is amazing for me because usually i watch too many movie. I watched 1 movie, Sherlock Holmes, umm not the best movie in the world. We arrived in Iceland at 6AM and i was tired but that country is so beautiful with all the greens. And luckly no volcano eruptions!hahahah Then we got onto the plane to LONDON!!!!woohooo we arrived and it was kinda a disater because our tour guide couldn't find us and we had other people to meet up with. So finally we got to the hotel, Days Inn, and its a common hotel, not the Ritz but not the Motel 8! We are the largest group with 19 people., We get along really well. Then there are about 6 diffrerent groups from Texas, Iowa and other places. They are pretty nice too. So finally we start touring! we start at Tufulgar Square, which is not shaped like a square! then we walked towards Picadilly Circle and Leichester Square which has a lot of modern, movie type stuff, really cool! Then we ate a classic London dinner, Fish & Chips (french fries) and that was so yummy, not what i expected but still great! Tip: use vinager instead of ketchup. Then we made it back to the hotel and slept.
Today was really long and exciting. While walking on the cobble stone i heard "cheers", "that's grand", "oh, brilliant" i really like British accents! we started the day with a healthy breakfest and then went on a bus tour that showed places like Westminster, Buckingham Palace and London Tower. We saw the changing of the gaurds and that was so cool! Then we had "free time" with the teachers and we had a picnic at Green Park and it was sunny out and so nice to grab a baggette and chill. Then we went shopping at Harrods!!! THE largest department store. well, i didn't buy anything but i went o the bathroom....hahahaha i did buy some classic souvenirs. Then we went off to Covent Garden and walked around more shops and chilled, which was really fun too! We ate at the original Hard Rock Cafe and that was pretty basic and chill, but great food for a long day! Then just a small group of us walked all the way to Notting Hill to get a cup of tea but we never found it! instead we found Kinsington Gardens and those were really pretty with the sunset!
All day i kept thinking about how much i want to live hee, which is funny because i had the option to do that 2 years ago! oh well, mybe in the future!hahahaha its such a great city, with great public transport, gardens, history I could definitely see myself here in a few years!
Oh i forgot about our tour director, Vico. I haven't really talked with him but he seems to know a lot about the city and i'm excited for the next 8 days.
Hope all is well, overseas!

Getting Ready!
Hey so there is only 2 WEEKS until we leave for EUROPE!!!!! so I've been doing some researching through Ms. Cardona's blog. Check it out http://wheninromeorparis.blogspot.com/. There are so many great tips for our trip : ) Also i bought a suitcase for this trip (and forever!) and the lady helping me said not to go over a 25" suitcase, even better go with a 21". Well I went with the 25"! Also I tend to overpack so I went to handy-dandy Rick Steves!!!
He has some packing list that I think I will follow!
Here is a link to see a general packing list: http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/tips/packlist.htm
No lady's we kinda have a harder time with over packing and accessorizing! What my sister has told me is the fewer options the better. That way you can mix and match with only those clothes. It also helps bringing different jewelary, scarfs to change up an outfit ( I'm kinda planning on sharing stuff like that!). Here is what Rick Steves lady helpers say: http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/tips/womenpack.htm
Can't wait to see you all at our LAST meeting tomorrow!!!!!!

EEEEKKKKKKK 23 DAYS!!!!!!!!
Wow, only 23 days left!
Oh my I really need to get on top of things. I just bought CUTE SHOES!!!!! from REI. Aren't they cute? They are supportive, and cute so I can wear them here as well. I have a lot of suitcases but they just don't seem to fit for an ideal going-around-europe-for-10-days-trip so I've been looking around. I saw this really cute bright orange suitcase at Macy's but I don't know maybe I should go to one of these millions of garage sales to get one. Also I think I could go to them for cheap and one-use clothing deals!okay
5 things I'm pretty excited for:
- Going back to Europe with some of my best friends and returning with more friends, amazing experiences and halirious, yet memorable stories to tell my family and friends on this blog! I can't wait for the many adventures our group will go through in Europe.
- I've been to London before but I haven't done the Jack the Ripper tour. Truthfully, I'm a little scared since I just read http://www.jack-the-ripper-walk.co.uk/jack_the_ripper_history.htm A true story events to his killings. Pretty nasty!
- I can't wait to take the Eurostar Chunnel Crossing and Overnight Train to Rome too! It is so sweet how we travel in Europe. I wish the U.S. had more public transit.
- I can't wait for the Paris Guided Tour. When my family went to Paris we would just wonder everywhere but I didn't really know what all the buildings were and meant. It will be so interesting!
- Finally, I can't wait to see The Vatican. Since I am Catholic it will be such an eye-opening experience to learn where the Pope lives and what everything gets done there.
